The principal aim of the Trust is to establish a museum or centre in which the best examples of historical and contemporary British cartoon art, defined as humourous or satirical cartoons, caricatures, illustrations and advertisements, together with comic strips and animated films, may be permanently displayed and conserved.
Cartoons are important - as records of the spirit of an age, as works of art and as a medium for humour and entertainment. The British achievement in this area is unique and unrivalled.
Cartoon Art News is produced four times a year for the Friends of The Cartoon Art Trust and is edited by Paul Gravett.
