Martyn Turner - Political cartoonist , caricaturist and writer. In 1967 he fled his family for the safety of Belfast, emerging nine years later with a degree in Geography and a wife, having risen to the rank of editor of the independent Northern Ireland review, Fortnight. Since then he has lived in a field in Kildare and filled the Irish Times with political cartoons. The Cartoonists & Writers Syndcate distribute some of those same cartoons to over 200 journals and newspapers round the world with such unlikely titles as Time, Newsweek, The Irish Echo, The Asahi Shimbum, The Sacramento Bee, The Times, The Guardian and lots to papers in America called the Times Ledger Telegraph Picayune Register. He lives with his wife (still not divorced), six Irish setters and a son who visits sometimes, and fervently believes that some day Leyton Orient will rule the world. They are just biding their time.
